If you want more facts about the recently announced discovery of a PFOA-contaminated groundwater plume affecting the drinking water for private wells in Yaphank, this program is for you.  Join with others to learn about the health risks of PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid), where did it come from and what to do next about this new groundwater pollutant.  Groundwater experts will explain why this new pollutant needs rapid attention and remediation.

For more background on PFOA and related chemicals, see Documents and Publications on this website (PFOA Documents).

How we go from the science to science-based management to strong action

will be discussed.

We invite you to be part of this important conversation.
